The conference was a big success IMO. About 400 Python developers put together for nearly three days; it was a very nice experience to compare opinions, exchange ideas, or just having fun. I had the opportunity to talk with several big names, including
Fredrik Lundh, a really nice guy currently working for Google in Zurich.
As I said in my previous post here, I also won a slot to show a presentation of my work so far at Converge SpA, and this was also a good success. Attendance was high considering my talk was on Sunday afternoon, where I was expecting most people to be already gone to take plane/train home. This success has convinced my company to make an effort to release my work (the Shedlib library) as an open source project. Hopefully in the next month I'll have more informations to share, possibly even the source code itself, which I have to polish before publishing. Stay tuned!
